At the core of Global Majority's success is a governance structure that pursues equality in representation based on gender, ethnicity, geography and other measures of diversity. Towards this goal, our founding conference in May 2005 brought together practitioners and academics from over 20 countries to form the Global Majority International Advisory Board (IAB). As the composition and efforts of the IAB evolves, so too will the direction and activities of the organization.
Global Majority is an international organization committed to the promotion of education and training, networking and advocacy in the field of non-violent conflict resolution.
We believe that conflict can and must be averted through negotiation, dialogue, mediation, and other forms of conflict resolution.
We seek to build a civil society network that is inclusive of those who seek peace and who are committed to respectful and culturally sensitive engagement of government and non-state actors to become the architects of principled negotiation and the non-violent settlement of disputes.
